Art Deco Oak Bureau Bookcase
1930's Art Deco bureau bookcase having glazed doors to a dome top, revealing three adjustable shelves - over a fall front bureau with fitted interior, two graduated drawers furnished with decorative metal handles, and all resting on bulbous frontal stretchered supports.
This is a good sturdy bureau bookcase and affords great storage.
There may be some superficial cosmetic marks here and there, but nothing major to note.
The glazed bookcase does separate from the bureau below for ease of transport and movement.
The bookcase comes complete with a key for the glazed section. The top internal lock does not work, although the bottom one does - and historically someone has secured a round decorative knob handle to the bureau fall front. There is also evidence of historic worm which is inactive and has been thoroughly treated.
Despite this - it remains a great piece, and if art deco is your thing…. Then this may be for you!
Dimensions 80cm wide x 43cm deep x 197cm high to the top and 73cm high to the fall front.
