Edwardian mahogany clerks desk
Absolutely stunning Edwardian mahogany clerks desk, having a castellated gallery top, with central fall front slope having fitted drawers; flanked by two cupboards and resting over a central long drawer, flanked by two short drawers - furnished with ornate metal handles above two pedestal cupboards.
Wow - what an absolute beauty! It has a beautiful patina that only age and use can give! It does have a couple of issues - there is one of the small gallery spindles at the top missing and also the very top of two of the finials.
Originally there also would have been a lower back board to the rear of the knee hole. Despite these few small issues - it in no way detracts from the piece!
It’s elegant and quite the ‘room changer’!
The piece is extremely heavy and solid and will last for generations to come - what a fabulous antique piece of furniture!
This would look beautiful in the right location ~ whether that be at someone’s home or even in a business setting!
If you’re looking for something very grand - then this might be just for you.
